Our network control centre is located in Orange and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and control all operations and traffic on the CRN. This is backed up by a fully-functional disaster recovery centre in Bathurst, which will be utilised for training purposes or in the case of an emergency.
The UGLRL network operations team will work closely with rail traffic operators and maintenance providers to ensure efficient and reliable access for passenger and rail freight services and maintenance activities on the CRN. Our customers will include passenger service providers, freight and heritage operators and maintenance service providers.
Our network control systems
The CRN uses two primary network control systems:
- TMCS to manage the Train Order system of safeworking, and
- Phoenix to manage the Rail Vehicle Detection systems of safeworking.
If you have an enquiry about our network operations and access management, please make a submission through our Contact us page.
